1997 Shannon 39

Staten Island, New York, United States

$219,000

The Shannon 39 Hull #3 “Gemini” is the epitome of flawless classic cruising sailboat design and best-in-the-world construction. With a proven Walt Schulz-design keel/centerboard hull drawing only 4’4” board up, the Shannon 39 is perfect for blue water passage-making and shallow water gunkholing. “Gemini” is the ideal boat for a single-hander or couple to sail and live aboard anywhere in the world. The Shannon 39 is equally well suited for long-distance ocean voyaging or weekend cruising. "Gemini” has been lovingly maintained and upgraded by one owner since Shannon built "Gemini" for his family in 1997, with only seasonal use in the Northeast. Exemplifying Shannon's no compromise world renowned  construction techniques, the Shannon 39 has composite core (no balsa to rot) hull and deck. Three winters ago the same Shannon craftsmen who built “Gemini” had the opportunity to go over and refurbish every system on Gemini” from stem to stern, including a new electronics suite. At 20 years young “Gemini” is an almost perfect 10.
