Her current owner purchased Annabelle in 2015 and promptly spent about 40K upgrading her just because he loved this beautiful boat. He upgraded her because he could and addressed the survey findings plus soda blasted and put on a new barrier coat and bottom paint, upgraded the Garmin display to the latest touch screen, added AIS, new Garmin wind instruments, new max prop, inverter and pretty much everything you could want. She’s now completely ready for you!

If you really pretty classic and traditional high quality boat that is built really well and is a proven sailingyacht, there really are not many to choose from.  Especially true for this classic vessel that has the benefit of modern innovations and improvements. The ones we like are the beautiful, safe, comfortable and capable sailing vessels that have been cared for and will hold theirvalue. One of out all time favorite builders has been and will always be Shannon Yachts, an icon of New England Boatbuilding for some forty years starting in 1975 and still going. Shannon Yachts are wonderful classics, if choosing a dainty Shannon 28 to the Shannon 37 Centerboard “Silk” made famous by Beth Leonard and Evens Starzinger in their first circumnavigation to the perfect Shannon 38 and 39 and the incredible Shannon 43 and the Shannon 51 Flagship, a no compromise world voyager! Of all the Shannon Yachts Shannon 39 modern Shannon design is just the most perfect for the Chesapeake Bay and beyond.

The Shannon 39 is just right! Our sweet and beautiful offering is a 1994 Shannon 39 design with internal lead ballast and a hull shape that results in a stiff and stable boat even in heavy air. In the words of the manufacturer, “The 39 is a middleweight, best for a true coastal cruiser-offshore passage-maker to sail single handed. With her draft of 5’6” she is so perfect in the Chesapeake, East Coast, Intercoastal and the Keys, and of course the Bahamas. The sail plan on the 39 combines the performance attributes of a sloop with the versatility of a cutter.(It’s called a scutter rig.) The 39 is designed to be rigged with a conventional stemhead fitted rollerfurling genoa. Three feet forward on the bow-anchor platform is another stay that accepts a highcut yankee. It’s amazing it took so long to develop it.

The Shannon 39 is a big “little” boat that can scoot into the most private and natural places. She sails so well in light air and heavy weather that you’ll enjoy all your sailing on this beautiful perfectly sized cruiser. The Shannon classic T shaped cockpit means your knees will thank you every time you step behind the wheel. You’ll enjoy great visibility from the helm with all your navigation and autopilot with remote available. The classic interioris romantic and practical. While there is but one stateroom up forward, the dinette makes a lovely double berth in the salon which means you can have kids or guest along for a cruise. The scutter rig design offers many sail configurations for each condition with smaller sails easily managed by a solo sailor or a couple.

Since 1975, Shannon Yachts has established an international reputation for their outstanding construction and overall validity on water. Their Shannon have logged of over a million bluewater miles, meaning they have circumnavigated the globe many times by different owners. When compared with other yacht brands that create and produce the same kind of designs, not many other companies can compete with Shannon’s navigational records. This is why we offer them to those who wish to continue to voyage….and to those who just love great boats and want to cruise the Chesapeake Bay and Bahamas! Two of the very best extreme offshore voyagers; Evans Starzinger and his partner Beth Leonard, circumnavigated their Shannon 37 Ketch, named Silk from 1993 to 1995 some 40,000 miles before they bought and fit out their “Hawk”, a Van De Stadt 47 foot Aluminum Cutter. I know we had more fun our out little boat!

Now it is time for you to enjoy one of the world’s finest vessels. You will definitely fall in love with Annabelle. She is not only a pedigreed yacht, but she is in lovely well maintained condition. With new Sea Frost refrigeration in 2013 and everything in operation condition you can just enjoy. She has just arrived at our Port Annapolis Marina location and ready for your viewing. Call now to come see this lovely vessel and get ready for next year’s sailing season. You won’t be disappointed! Read on and check out the Full Specs.
